Calendar of Events for 2007

Tuesday, October 23rd, featured speaker David Young, a Volunteer Educational Advocate 

David Young currently works as a Military Training Analyst at Little Rock AFB.  Has 24 years of active duty service in the USAF, and has been working as a Defense Contractor for the last 15 years.  David is a Volunteer Educational Advocate, helping children with special needs obtain appropriate services from their school systems.  He was just elected as the President of the Arkansas Disability Coalition (ADC), Board of Directors.  The ADC is the Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) Grant holder for Arkansas .  David is also a past Board Member and Vice President of CHADD of Central Arkansas

Mr. Young will be answering your questions and addressing your concerns regarding Special Education rights and IEPs.  If you have a question or concern you would like Mr. Young to address specifically please forward it to our Host, Lisa (lvandyke@arkonecall.com) ASAP so she can forward it to Mr. Young. 

 Future Meeting Dates

Different members volunteer to host our meetings each month.  This takes the burden off of a single person having to find speakers and organize each month.  We also find this is a great way to bring in new speakers and fresh ideas.  

Additional information on meeting topics will be available a few weeks prior to the scheduled meeting.
